At AKY Photography, we're just two friends with a passion for capturing life's most precious moments. What started as a simple desire to take beautiful photos of our own babies has grown into a shared love for preserving memories for our community. As lifelong residents of Ashland and Boyd County, we feel deeply connected to the people and places we serve, and we are committed to giving back to the area we call home.


While we both have full-time careers - Tiffany as a dedicated registered nurse with nearly 20 years of experience, and Kourtney as a passionate Biology teacher to her beloved Tomcats for over 15 years - we find joy in balancing our professional lives with the creative outlet of photography. Our backgrounds in healthcare and education have instilled in us a strong sense of service and a deep appreciation for family, which is why we are so driven to help you capture your most cherished memories.


At AKY Photography, family is at the heart of everything we do. Whether it's a newborn session, family portrait, or milestone event, we understand how important these moments are, and we approach each session with care, compassion, and a genuine desire to create lasting memories. Hi, I'm Tiffany! I'm a wife to my wonderful husband, Justin, and a mom to our amazing son, Justus. I'm a proud graduate of Boyd County High School (Go Lions!) and a lifelong resident of Boyd County. I've always felt a deep connection to this community, and I'm grateful to call it home.


By day, I'm a nurse, and I've spent my career caring for others - a job I'm truly passionate about. Photography, however, also holds a very special place in my heart. It allows me to capture the beauty I see in the world around me - whether it's the warmth of a family moment or the intricate details of nature. I believe every picture tells a story, and I'm here to help you tell yours.


Outside of work, you'll often find me in my garden or spending time with family. Family is at the center of everything I do, and I love sharing my life with them. I'm also very involved with my church, where I find purpose and community. Faith plays an important role in my life, and I'm grateful for the opportunities to serve and connect with others in meaningful ways.


Whether it's caring for patients, nurturing my garden, or spending time with my loved ones, I'm always looking for ways to live intentionally and create a life that reflects my values. I'm so excited to share this journey with you!

Kourtney Hieneman


Hi there! I'm Kourtney, a passionate photographer, proud teacher, and lifelong cheerleader for my family, students, and community. I'm married to my best friend, Chad, and together, we're raising our amazing daughter, Emma Kate. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and I'm incredibly grateful for the love and joy they bring to my life.


When I'm not behind the camera, you can usually find me at Ashland Paul Blazer High School, where I'm honored to teach and sponsor the Pep Club for our spirited Tomcats! Being part of this vibrant community allows me to share my enthusiasm for life with my students, while also supporting the school's athletic teams and events.


Photography has always been my creative outlet - capturing moments that tell a story, evoke emotion, and preserve memories for years to come. Whether it's a family portrait, a senior photo session, or a candid shot at an event, I pour my heart into each image. I believe every photo has the power to reflect the unique spirit of the person or moment it represents.
